Terms of Service
Last updated June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform Acting website and platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts and roles
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Accounts are offered in roles — actor, employer and coach — each with different features and responsibilities. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to: upload content you do not have the right to share; impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or skills; upload unlawful, defamatory, infringing or harmful content; attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service; scrape or harvest data; or use the Service to harass any person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
3. Your content and uploaded performances
You retain all ownership rights in the performances, media and other content you upload ("User Content"). You grant Platform Acting a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and reproduce your User Content solely to operate the Service — including running AI assessment, enabling expert review and certification, building your profile, and presenting your application to relevant employers. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where we must retain copies to comply with the law or resolve disputes. You are responsible for securing any third-party rights (e.g. to scripts or music) in your uploads.
4. Assessments and certification disclaimer
AI assessments are automated, draft evaluations and may contain errors. Certifications are issued after review by an acting coach and reflect that coach's professional judgement at the time of review. Certifications are an indication of skill — they are not a guarantee of employment, ability or future performance, and are not formal academic or governmental qualifications. Employers remain solely responsible for their own casting, hiring and engagement decisions. Platform Acting is not a party to any agreement between actors and employers.
5. Platform intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks and the verification system, is owned by Platform Acting and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works of the Service.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Creating an account is free. Paid subscription plans for actors and employers are on the way. When billing is introduced, applicable prices, billing cycles, taxes and cancellation terms will be presented before you subscribe, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Platform Acting is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Dutch or EU law, including liability for intent or gross negligence and statutory consumer rights.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version here and revise the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
